Polk Area Model Society
About our Model Club
We are an active IPMS Model Club (#1130) with close to 50 members, we meet the 4th Tuesday of each month! We encourage builders of ALL ages to participate, and we are always looking for new members. You can leave a message on this site if your wanting to know more about our exciting model club, we have model contests, participate in shows, have HUGE swap meets, and get together now and again for a bite to eat.

There are no rules other than being polite to each member, (we meet in a church) so casual dress ok. We look forward to any members wanting to join and if you are already a member please feel free to post here!

January 24th - Make it personal - Any kit that is personal or your favorite.
February 28th - It’s a small world - Any kit 1/72 scale or smaller.
March 28th - Back in Black - Any subject that’s 90% black in color.
April 25th - Where the rubber meets the road - Any subject with tires/ no tracks.
May 23rd -Star Trek-In honor of Will Hudson
June 27th - Back to the Future - Any kit made before the year 1970, can be re-popped.
July25th - Lions, Tigers, and Bears, OH MY! - Any animal or animal related subject.

Group Build - Christmas in July theme... Bring back your COMPLETED Model you received at the December Christmas party.
August 22nd - As seen on TV - Any TV or movie related subject.
September 26th - We have liftoff! = Any vertical takeoff or rocket subject.
October 24th - The Fab 4 - Any British kit, subject or The Beatles.
November 28th – It’s Never too Late – Bring any kit from this Year’s themes that you did not complete on time.
