Polk Area Model Society
We had over 100 contestants with 580 models in the competition. The quality of those builds was simply put, mind blowing. General admission was somewhere in the neighborhood of 150 people, and we had approximately 60 vendors with model kits, air brushes, paints, and tools. We had demonstrations on creating realistic scenery, using your air brush, and more. We were privileged to not only have the 501st Storm Troopers in attendance, but also the Outer Rims Guild, who are experts at prop building. Craving Donuts were on site to provide breakfast and coffee while Wrigleyville Dogs was there to serve up lunch. Our biggest sponsors, Kelly Buick Automotive Group and Kelly Buick GMC were on site with some of their decked-out trucks. Did I mention the huge raffle? There were so many kits in it, that I don’t even have a count of them all.
We want to thank all our contestants, vendors, and especially our sponsors. We could not make this show happen without all of them.
You can find all of the pictures in the media section of our Facebook page.
I hope you got to make it to our event, but if you did not there is another chance next year, June 24, 2023. We are already making plans to make it even bigger than it was this year. Make sure you keep checking back here for information and registration forms for next year’s show.
